Project Size: Phase I HVAC 5M, Phase II HVAC 6M, Plumbing 2M
Client: Phase I- The Boldt Company Phase II -Miron Construction
Owner: State of Wisconsin UW Madison
During a period of 7 years, 1901 provided Mechanical and Plumbing construction services to UW Madison for the completion of the Memorial Union Redevelopment.
During Phase I the theater was remodeled and new underfloor ventilation systems were installed. During construction, 1901 prefabricated the entire main steam and water system mechanical room in our shop. 1901 was then able to break it down and reassemble it in the field in a matter or days instead of months. This greatly improved the project schedule.
Phase II work included 1901 performing both the HVAC and Plumbing work. Major features of Phase II included a turn system loading ramp, all new landscaping, granite fountain, and boat docks. All features required specialized plumbing and HVAC considerations.
